Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center Supports the Gouverneur Breast Cancer Walk

Over seventy Claxton-Medical Center employees, auxilians, volunteers, family, friends, and dogs, joined together to participate in the 17th annual Gouverneur Breast Cancer Walk on Saturday, May 20. Claxton-Hepburn has been a long-time supporter of the event through walkers and sponsorships. In most recent years, Claxton-Hepburn has become an elite corporate sponsor of the Walk, and throughout the year, holds mini fundraisers with all proceeds going back to the Gouverneur Breast Cancer Fund. People from St. Lawrence, Lewis, Jefferson, and Franklin counties came together at this year’s Walk to support local women in their fight against breast cancer. This year’s Walk has raised $103,000, and dollars are still coming in. The money raised continues to help numerous breast cancer patients at Claxton-Hepburn’s Breast Health Center and Richard E. Winter Cancer Center. Shown in the photo are some of the Claxton-Hepburn Warriors that participated in the Walk.
