Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center Recognizes Perioperative Nurses

November 11-17, 2018 marks this year’s Perioperative Nurses Week. Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center is fortunate to have an incredibly compassionate, professional and experienced group of nurses in our surgical services department. Their job goes beyond the regular workday assuring excellent patient care all the time. Perioperative nursing is a nursing specialty that works with patients who are having operative or other invasive procedures. Perioperative nurses work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurse anesthetists, and surgical technologists. They perform preoperative, intra operative, and post operative care for patients undergoing surgical procedures.
