Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center Welcome New Provider

Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center is pleased to welcome Dr. Kaichun Wei, MD, FACOG, a board-certified physician in obstetrics and gynecology to our Claxton Women’s Services located at 3 Lyon Place, Suite 303, Ogdensburg. He joins Dr. Gordon Heiss, DO, FACOG and Dr. Srinivas Ketharaju, MD, FACOG. Dr. Wei is accepting new patients by calling 315-713-6700.
 

Dr. Wei earned his medical degree at Hunan Medical University, China, and went on to complete a doctorate at the University of Tokushima, Graduate School of Medical Sciences, Japan. After obtaining his medical degrees, he pursued postgraduate research in the United States in the Department of Cell Biology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, New York. He completed an internship at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, Jamaica, New York, and a residency at Winthrop University Hospital, Mineola, New York.
 

Dr. Wei is board-certified in physical obstetrics and gynecology and is a member of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and was past member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, and the Kansas City Gynecological Society.

Dr. Wei has extensive experience in laparoscopic surgeries and has an interest in robotic surgery. Dr. Wei state, “I always listen to my patients’ complaints or concerns, and my priority is to provide them with the excellent care they are here for.” He continued, “As a doctor, you know you have done a great job when your patients refer other women to you; that is the most rewarding feeling.”
