Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center celebrated with its Med Surg staff during Medical-Surgical Nurses Week, November 1-7, 2019. The Medical Center took the time to recognize the Med Surg staff for the difference they make by building the profession of nursing by advocating for patients and families, serving communities through care and education, and improving patient care. They also celebrated a goal of one year with a catheter-associated urinary tract infection, and no patient falls with serious injury. Roberta Taylor, nurse manager for Med Surg stated, “I am sending a great big thank you to the entire Med Surg team this past week as we celebrated Med Surg week and some amazing goals we have reached.” She continued, “Every one of you makes a difference.” Your tomorrow is worth defending.
