Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center Welcome New Provider

Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center is pleased to welcome Mayank Sharma, MD, family practitioner to our medical staff. Starting in October, Dr. Sharma will see patients at Claxton-Hepburn’s Canton Health Center, located at 39 West Main Street, Canton. For an appointment call 315-379-4700.

Dr. Sharma earned his bachelor of science in biology from the University of Western Ontario and completed his doctorate in medicine at Windsor University School of Medicine, St. Kitts and Nevis. He completed a residency in family medicine at Southern Illinois University School Of Medicine, Quincy, IL, where is a most recent graduate.

Dr. Sharma is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. During his schooling he was awarded the William Baldwin Scholarship and participated in professional publications.

Dr. Sharma stated, “ I am excited to be part of the Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center team.” He continued, “Patients are my first priority, and I take that responsibility very seriously. I believe that a great patient-doctor relationship is fundamental to good medical care.” He concluded, “Taking time to listen is key to diagnosis and great care.”
