Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center Hosts MASH Camp

Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center teamed up with the Northern Area Health Education Center, Inc. (NAHEC) to provide a one-day Medical Academy of Science and Health (MASH) Camp on January 20 at the Medical Center’s Ogdensburg campus. Sixteen students participated in the camp, which provided an inside look and hands-on-experience into various aspects of careers in the medical field. Shown in the photo is Cheryl Simmons, LPN, nurse educator and student placement coordinator at Claxton-Hepburn, demonstrating how to perform CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) device. The students who participated in the day-long experience were Hanna Costello, Dillon Craig-Smithers, Hailee Farrand, Gannon Kelly, Avery Kuhn, Giselle Lawson, Anne March, Madison Miller, Courtney North, Savanna Smith, Zoey Taylor, Kayla Thompson, Amber Ward, Lee Sovie, Abigail Stiles, and Taylor D’Agostino.
