Financial Assistance Policy

No one will be denied services based on their ability to pay, and discounts are available based on family size and income.

At Claxton-Hepburn, we have full-time professional financial counselors who can help patients and families who need financial assistance to pay for their medical care. This assistance includes assessing the patients' eligibility, providing referrals to government funding sources, and more.

Patients requesting payment plans or financial hardship consideration are identified as early as possible in the registration/admission process so the necessary documentation, research, and approval can be completed before services are provided.

We offer inpatient assistance for completing Medicaid forms if you are eligible

Services Billed Separately

The physician services provided in the hospital are not included in your hospital charges. Physicians who provide services at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center may or may not participate in the same health plans. They include affiliated physicians, radiologists, anesthesiologists, and lab work. Please check with the physician who arranges your hospital services to determine the plans in which they participate.

The names, addresses and contact information for physicians whom CHMC employs, as well as groups of physicians and providers with whom CHMC contracts to provide services such as anesthesia, pathology, and radiology, are listed below. Please refer to these lists to contact any provider listed.
